Dr. Phillip C. Saunders is Director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program of the Center for Nonproliferation Studies at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. He has a doctorate from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School and has worked or consulted on Asian security issues for the United States Air Force, the Council on Foreign Relations, and RAND. His articles on China and Asian security have been published in journals including International Security, China Quarterly, The China Journal, and Orbis.
